A recent art show in Norman called “Balance: Art and Design”, sought to communicate the relationship between design and art using the basic building blocks of line, color, shape and texture. Catch me, Narciso Argüelles, Dylan Bradway and many other creative talents talking about the connection between art and graphic design. CLICK to watch the video.

Tornado Tees

7 minutes from my 45 minute presentation to PRSA Little Rock in October 2012 explaining how creativity and public relations work together to create some of today’s hottest marketing trends.

Part One:

Part Two:

I finally overhauled my personal website with a ton of help from my friends at T & S Web Design. Bonus, they also created cool 404 page for me:

I had the recent opportunity to be interviewed by Bobby Lehew for the 7 Minute Smarketer (smart marketer), a podcast featuring the smartest smarketers on the planet. For each episode, our smart marketer has exactly 7 minutes to make us all smarter marketers or they owe the hosts a beer. Good-natured fun, but more importantly, supreme smartness in only 7 minutes! Listen HERE or Subscribe via iTunes to download and listen later.

I will be doing more 7 Minute Smarketer episodes in the future talking about direct mail and creativity. Check out all the episodes and subscribe, it’s really informative and entertaining while only taking 7 minutes of your busy day. Bobby is a great marketing mind and advocate, check out his blog as well (he gives me a little press there too).

Another quick video. This time I explain Variable Data Printing in a little over an minute and a half.

The latest Darwin/Brass Balls/Foremost Insurance ad I designed in late 2010. Lot’s of new stuff is being put together for 2011, including a new website.

Just found out I won 4 ADDY awards for 2010!

2010 was a busy year for me. I had the privilege of working on 100’s of projects for clients all over the world. Here are just a few:

January: The new Brass Balls Bobbers and Choppers Website went live. I did the design and elements, but the construction was done on Germany (over Skype). How cool is that?

February: New logos for Paula Love PR, Fondue Fandango 2010 and the Wedge Pizzeria were a few of my first quarter projects.

March: The BIG news for March was my photograph used as the cover of the national and international versions of a major trade publication. Also, a major portfolio website overhaul, that of course is due for updating again.

April: I did some non-profit design work, creating ads for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Associate Board’s Violins & Vino fundraiser and another postcard for the Harn Homestead’s land run celebration (with the assist of Romy Owens photography).

May: Wedding season led to a cooldeck of cards on a brass braddesign brochure for Sky Creek Ranch Golf Course and Banquet Facility in Dallas, Tx.

June: A NEW logo for the Mental Health Association of Central Oklahoma. More work for Sky Creek Ranch, this time a postcard for their restaurant and bar.

August: A great looking 10 ft. banner for Brass Balls Bobbers and Choppers to display at the Sturgis Biker Rally. Also, an e-mail graphic for Sky Creek Ranch to follow-up on the previous month’s postcard.

September: A brand new brochure (with copy and a full on photo shoot) for the Overture group.

November: Created a NEW Darwin Motorcycles (makers of Brass Ball Bobbers) logo to become a metal badge for their motorcycles. Also did a fun Black Friday postcard and e-mail graphic for the Funky Monkey kids clothing retailer. I donated a web and e-mail graphic for the OKC Philharmonic Associate Board’s Holiday Music-Grams fundraiser.

December: The biggest design job of the year was creating signage for the new Rococo’s Northpark location. 10′ x 5′ exterior signage with backlighting, 10,000 gold LED lights and a halo effect. Also, a NEW logo for the non-profit association C.O.A.C.H. plus the all new identity, ad campaign and website for Comtech to launch January 1st, 2011 (top-secret up to the go-live date).
